Max Ntalamu

Max is a 2026 candidate for the Master of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, where he also earned his B.A. in Public Policy with a specialization in Policing Race in June 2025. Growing up in a low-income, single-parent household, Max developed a passion for expanding access to affordable housing, universal healthcare, and human rights. At the University of Chicago, he co-founded and co-led the LGBTQ+ student group and served as social chair for the Black Student Organization. As an intern at the Illinois Facilities Fund’s Home First Department, he worked alongside leading developers, advocates, and policymakers to expand access to affordable housing in Illinois. As an APS Fellow, Max looks forward to contributing his passion for justice and eagerness to learn about the space, all while building lifelong connections and gaining necessary public affairs skills. In his free time, he enjoys reading, cooking, photography, and following the news.
